1:1 Chromebook Program

Flagstaff Academy is unique in that all middle school students are issued a Chromebook for academic use. Each year, 6th-8th families must read and sign the MS 1:1 Chromebook Agreement.

Chromebook Repairs

Students who have damaged Chromebooks must complete an Online Chromebook Repair Form. All Chromebook repairs must be managed by Flagstaff Academy. Families are not to attempt repairs themselves or take Flagstaff Academy Chromebooks to a third-party repair provider.

We do our best to return all the Chromebooks as quickly as possible, but we have no control over the availability of parts and repair time. Students will be notified once their machines are available for pick up in the library.

Chromebook Insurance

At the beginning of each school year, middle school families are emailed information about optional Chromebook insurance. The Chromebook Insurance and Loaner program is designed to help offset the costs of a lost or damaged school-owned Chromebook.

The Flagstaff Academy 1:1 Chromebook Guidelines and Policy Agreements states that families are responsible for the full cost of repairs or the full replacement cost for any device that is lost, stolen, or vandalized. Optional insurance is our way of helping offset unforeseen expenses for families. This program is optional but can provide significant savings in the event of accidental damage or loss. In addition, this program is the only way to obtain a loaner device from the Flagstaff Academy Library while a student-issued device is being repaired.
