About Mr. Younkerman
Greetings, Flagstaff Academy community, My name is Ryan Younkerman, and I am deeply passionate about fostering positive student growth and achievement through inclusive, collaborative, and data-driven leadership.
Throughout my career as a middle and high school Science teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal, I have developed a strong ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and foster collaborative environments. I have led initiatives to promote positive behavior interventions, designed whole-school systems aligned with the school's mission and vision, and enhanced academic rigor within a Core Knowledge-based education system.
With a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Colorado State University and experience as a science teacher and instructional leader, I am deeply passionate about upholding Flagstaff Academy's mission to develop well-rounded, ethical leaders with a foundation in science and technology. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to promote academic excellence, foster a culture of inclusivity, and empower students to reach their full potential.
When I'm not at school, you will often find me indulging in the great outdoors, enjoying rounds of golf, fishing trips, camping excursions, and snowboarding outings with friends and family.
