Meet The Board
Board Members
Flagstaff Academy is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the bylaws of the organization. The Board of Directors consists of committed and dedicated volunteers who may be parents of Flagstaff Academy students or other community members, and whom must share and uphold the vision and mission of Flagstaff Academy. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the annual school budget, reviewing and approving the curriculum, establishing policies and procedures consistent with Flagstaff's mission, hiring the principal, long range planning, site and facility development, and much more.2025-2026 Board of Directors

Andy Hochman

Geoff Snyder
Committee: Finance & Facilities
The proud father of Dragons Callyn and Grady, Geoff has spent his career in medical device/equipment manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, and operations leadership – with startup to Fortune 500 companies.
Growing up in New England, Geoff moved to the area after getting his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. He met his wife Jeanine as they each pursued their MBAs at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Jeanine is a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual who helps families and small business owners plan for their future.
Geoff has experience in operations strategy, risk management, finance/budgeting, and hiring/personnel leadership. He is currently putting the finishing touches on his latest obsession – the design and build of their family home, where he led the design, acted as his own general contractor, and did a fair bit of heavy lifting/general labor as well. He loves skiing, motorcycle racing, family hikes and the endless smiles of kids at the beach.
Geoff is passionate about the role of charter schools in lifting the level of education for all members of our communities and is excited to help Flagstaff Academy continue to lead in student success.

Stephanie McGilvray
Committees: School Accountability
Stephanie was born and raised in Colorado. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she met Chris, her husband of 18 years.
After earning her master's in education and endorsement in ESL, Stephanie taught for nine years and was in administration for four. After stepping away from education, she and her husband opened a small wine/liquor store in 2012.
Stephanie is the proud parent of two Flagstaff Academy Dragons and is an active parent volunteer in her children's classrooms. She and her family like to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather in Colorado and ride their bikes, play with their three dogs, and watch the Broncos!

Josh Rembusch
Committee: Facilities & PTO Liaison
Josh Rembusch, originally from Indianapolis, has proudly called Longmont home for the past five years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial safety management from Indiana State University and earned his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2004. Professionally, Josh serves as Vice President for Byers Scientific, an engineering firm specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced air purification technologies. Additionally, he is Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Colorado SWANA Chapter, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic initiatives.
As a dedicated parent of two students at Flagstaff Academy, Josh has been actively involved in their educational journey since their enrollment in 2023. He has seen firsthand the transformative impact of Flagstaff Academy’s dedication to academic excellence and its nurturing community.
Josh’s volunteer efforts at Flagstaff Academy began in 2023 when he joined the Hiring Committee. His contributions and commitment soon led to his role as Chair of the Facilities Committee. His dedication to enhancing the school community was further recognized when he was elected to the Board of Directors—a role he is deeply honored to hold.
Outside of his professional and volunteer commitments, Josh enjoys taking destination trips with his children and exploring the outdoors through activities such as hiking, fly fishing, and mountain biking. He also prioritizes daily well-being practices, including sun salutations, qi gong, and breathwork, to maintain balance and vitality.

Wendy Fleischman
Committees: PTO Liaison & Policy Committee
Born and raised in New York, Wendy would visit Colorado during graduate school and find, like many people, that it was the place of her heart. Wendy and her husband, Josh, moved to Longmont sixteen years ago from New York City. After surviving the initial culture shock, Wendy came to value this community and the incredible quality of life available to its residents.
Wendy feels that Flagstaff Academy is an integral part of the community and is grateful to have this excellent school available for her children to attend. A desire to support the school is what led her to volunteer for the School Accountability Committee and subsequently the Board of Directors. She has two daughters at Flagstaff at the elementary level.
Wendy is a veterinarian and a board certified practitioner of small animal internal medicine, focused largely on the diagnosis and remedy of chronic and complicated medical conditions in cats and dogs. When not shepherding children or doctoring shepherds, Wendy tries to stay centered with physical activity, community service, and music. Mountain biking, road cycling, and skiing represent her favorite outdoor pastimes.

Mandy Davies
Committees: Policy & School Accountability
Mandy moved to Colorado, from Ohio, in 2005. Her husband, Nick, is a senior project manager for GreenPoint Roofing. They have two little dragons, Lincoln and Juniper and love living in Longmont.
In her free time, Mandy and her family like spending time with friends, doing escape rooms or trivia, traveling, playing outside, and watching the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, and Avalanche! They’re all animal lovers and have three cats and a dog. In her rare moments of alone time, Mandy likes to read and see movies.
